Our church and community will join together to pack meals – and we want you to be a part of it!
One of the greatest commands Jesus gave in the New Testament was to love your neighbor as yourself. The heart to serve comes from our Christ like love for those around us. When you get connected to a local outreach opportunity, you get to use your God-given talents to change lives. Feed My Starving Children is one of the ways we partner with our community to make a difference. Join Summit and the Verrado Community to help pack meals for Feed My Starving children on Saturday, April 14 or Sunday, April 15, 2018. Shifts are two hours and ages 5 and up are welcome to participate in this fun event. Our goal For 2018 is to pack 36 pallets full of meals for a total of almost 280,000 meals (one full shipping container)! You may also donate to help reach the goal of $60,000 to cover the cost of the meals.
Turn HUNGER into HOPE by donating toward the cost of meals packed at the April 14-15 MobilePack event at Verrado High School!
$80 feeds a child for a year
$365 ($1 a day) feeds a family for a year
$1800 provides a pallet of food
$10,000 feeds a village for a year
It’s an incredible experience that makes a real impact in the lives of starving kids around the world.
UPDATE: Although the packing shifts are currently full, there are spots available to serve during the set up and clean up shifts. You can still help make a difference by preparing the tables and getting everything ready for the packing shifts to run smoothly and to help tear down the supplies and equipment so the food can be on its way to those in need!

“Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” (Proverbs 14:31)
I’m so thankful for the ways our church puts the love of Christ into action in tangible ways! It’s a fun way to serve and exciting to see our church and community work together to make a difference.
Kids ages 5 and older can participate (with an adult), so it is also a good way for families to serve together.
Be a part of this exciting opportunity and pray for the Lord to provide as we get prepared for this special weekend.
