8/21/15 – What a Weekend!

DSC_6033It was a blast to gather this past Sunday for our Back to School Brunch and the official launch of our new Summit Kids ministry venues!

More than 800 people joined us for worship on Sunday, so thank you to everyone who served and invited their friends! The Lord is certainly impacting lives as we head into the new school year. Here are a few examples from this past weekend:

  • 8 families asked about baptism & new life with Christ
  • 203 kids had fun and explored God’s Word in their new age-appropriate venues (birth-5th grade)
  • 106 youth joined us for our Apex youth worship venue (6th-12th grade) at 10:45am
  • Many individuals and couples shared how the new marriage series hit home in a helpful way

My prayer for you and for our church is this… “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)

When we put our trust in him and take steps of faith, it is incredible to see how God works in our lives!

Join us this weekend and invite a friend as our “From This Day Forward” marriage series continues. This Sunday is about how God blesses people who decide to Fight Fair . I believe this will make a HUGE difference for people in relationships now and those who will get married in the future. Everyone deals with conflict…

I also want to invite you to be a part of our Baptism Bash on Sunday, August 30th. If you or your kids have not been baptized, take a moment to register now online. Everyone else is invited to come cheer between the two services as we celebrate more lives changed by Jesus!

Have a blessed week, and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Nate

P.S. Growth Group signups begin this weekend, and you can get a sneak peek of the options here. Don’t miss this great opportunity to grow in your faith and get to know other people in our Summit small group Bible studies. Most meet in homes and will begin the week of September 13th.
