I can’t believe Christmas is almost here… It is seven days away and only five days until our first Christmas worship service!
We hope you can join us and are asking you to pray for many to connect with Christ this season. Look for ways to invite family, friends and neighbors–because many will say yes if they get a personal invitation from someone they know.
It will be a beautiful service with candlelight, Christmas carols and communion as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Families will worship together with childcare available for infants to 3-year olds.
What a joyful night to celebrate together! As the angel told the shepherds that first Christmas night: “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11)
Office Building Update
As we approach Christmas, I also want to let you know about an incredible gift God has given our church! After six months of searching for office space, the Lord blessed us with a great opportunity to purchase a space instead of leasing.
At a Voters Meeting this past Sunday, our members overwhelmingly voted yes to approve the purchase of a 3,589 sq. ft. office building. It is going to be a real blessing for our staff and volunteer teams.
It requires a $95,000 down payment (20%), and we asked people to prayerfully consider making a special year-end gift to help cover that cost. I am excited to share with you that so far we have already received $45,000 toward the down payment!
Can you join us in helping to make that happen? By making a special gift in worship this weekend or giving online, you will help Summit seize a unique opportunity. What a blessing it would be to cover all of the down payment and the other costs necessary to prepare that new ministry space.
Thanks for your partnership in ministry in so many ways. I love seeing the Lord at work in our church and community!
Yours in Christ,
P.S. Do you use Facebook? Jump onto Summit’s page and share the invitation to our Christmas services. It’s a simple way to spread the word and invite people you know.
“When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it where amazed at what the shepherds said to them.” (Luke 2:17-18)
