Have you ever felt like an outsider?
Were you the last one to be chosen for a team? Maybe at some point in your life you were the one who looked different, talked different, or dressed different from the others. I sometimes felt that way when I visited another church. It was easy to be a little under dressed – or over dressed, obviously too early or quite obviously late.
For you, today is different. Today you are chosen, and you are chosen first. God has chosen you to spend time with today. He sent His Son to come into our world and obliterate the things that separate, divide and alienate.
What things separate you from God? Whatever they are, Christ is willing to take them away. What are the things separating you from other people? Whatever they are, Christ can overcome them. What barriers divide you from the people you love? The love of Christ can bust right through them!
…You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household. (Ephesians 2:19)
Don’t miss our message this Sunday when we’ll open Ephesians chapter 3, and see why we can be confident in our identity as God’s children.
And speaking of children – you don’t want to miss our First Bible Celebration, in worship this Sunday, as many Summit Kids receive their first study Bible!
See You Sunday,
