Today was the National Day of Prayer, and I had the opportunity to start this morning with this group of local pastors
and community leaders.

I love seeing brothers and sisters in Christ praying boldly for the Lord change lives in the West Valley, our state and our nation!

If you haven’t already, I want to encourage you to take some time to pray for our nation and community.

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16 (NLT)

If you need some ideas, here are the topics we prayed for this morning:

  • Spiritual revival
  • Schools
  • Businesses
  • Churches
  • Families & children
  • Missionaries & those who are persecuted
  • People in poverty and great need
  • Public safety personnel
  • Military personnel
  • Our state and national government
  • Racial reconciliation
  • Those in need of healing

Jesus taught his disciples to pray with faith because our Heavenly Father listens and responds. There is great power in prayer!

Sunday, May 13th will be an incredible day as families and individuals are baptized into God’s family following both worship services!

If you or your kids haven’t been baptized, I encourage you to register here.

The Lord makes some incredible promises in baptism that are life-changing. If you want to learn more, check out Summit’sBaptism FAQ document.

Let’s pray for many more individual and families to be made new in Christ that weekend!

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Nate
