I’m excited to gather with our Summit family this Easter weekend! For Christians, there is nothing more important than what Jesus did through His death and resurrection.
From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, Jesus turned around what appeared to be a defeat into a great victory–that is still changing lives today.
Let’s honor Him, celebrate this weekend and invite others to join with us!
“And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit.”(Romans 1:4)
Pray with me that many will be encouraged in their faith and that people will place their hope in Christ. Good Friday helps us reflect on the incredible sacrifice of our Savior–which sets up the joyful celebration on Easter morning!
On Good Friday there will be childcare for infants-preschool.
On Easter Sunday we will offer Summit Kids (nursery to 5th grade) at all services that morning. Summit Students worship will take place at all three services (middle school at 8 & 9:30; high school at 11:00).
Studies show that Easter is the Sunday during the year people are most likely to come to church… if someone personally invites them.
So who are you bringing with you? A simple text, phone call or connection on social media can make a big difference! As Jesus shared in Luke 14:23, He is passionate about people responding to His invitation.
It is going to be a powerful weekend. I’m excited to see what God will do in our church and our community!
Yours in Christ,
P.S. Our 9:30 service is normally the most crowded on Easter. If you are a Summit regular, we encourage you to worship at 8:00 or 11:00 if you can. Thanks!
