After our nation-wide search considered over 25 candidates, interviewed 7, and made multiple visits to observe, we are pleased that Mr. Nick Taylor will be joining Summit staff as our next Director of Worship Arts!
Nick graduated from Concordia University, Texas, with his degree in music, and extensive Christian ministry training. Since 2011 he has served as Director of Music and Worship at CrossPoint Community Church in Katy, Texas.

Abigail, Ezra, and Nick Taylor
We are coming to Arizona!
Abigail, Ezra and I cannot wait to join you in reaching the world for Jesus one life at a time!
We’ve accepted the call you graciously extended and August 21st will mark my official start on Summit’s staff. I feel honored knowing I get to become a part of such a gifted, Jesus-driven, and hardworking team.
When Abigail and I visited you in June, we both left saying our hearts aligned with yours. We want to be a part of a ministry that actively reaches people who do not know Jesus. You as a church have done incredible things to reach people who do not know Jesus and that fills us with great joy and excitement.
We already love you, and I look forward to leading you and the new people Jesus brings to Summit in worship.
Abigail and I pray for you regularly, and would appreciate your prayers for us as we transition from Katy and CrossPoint – where Abigail and I have spent a combined 26 years of life and ministry.
Looking forward to seeing you very soon!
Nick, Abigail, and Ezra Taylor
Nick has led worship at national church conferences, and is a sought-after musician. Pastor Nate and I have been acquainted with him for years, and are delighted that he is joining our team!
Nick brings a high level of musicianship, large church experience, and a verifiable track record of worship arts leadership. I am confident that our talented Summit Worship and Tech teams will enjoy collaborating and serving with Nick. And, you’ll no doubt be happy when you get to meet Abigail and Ezra too! (You can check out his recent EP, The Potters Collective & Nick Taylor, on iTunes.)
Thank you for your prayers during this process, and your continued prayers for the Taylor’s and Summit during this transition.
Please let me know if you would like more information. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday as Pastor Nate kicks off our new message series – Multiply!
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. (Phil 1:3-5)
