6/2/17 – VBS Begins on Monday!

Our Vacation Bible School team is fired up for a fun and faith-building week!

In three days VBS will begin, so I’d like to ask for your help now in three ways:

  • Pray for God to bless our students and volunteers
  • Invite others you know in our community to register
  • Encourage your kids to bring friends with them on Monday night (if you have kids this age)

The central message is to help kids know that they are created by God and built for a purpose! The video below will give you an overview of this year’s experience:

Our Vacation Bible School will take place June 5-8 (Monday-Thursday) from 6-8:00pm at Verrado High School. All students who will be in Kindergarten-6th grade next year are invited to participate.

It’s free to register, and here is the link to share:

So why does our Summit Kids team work for so many months to prepare for this one week? Why do we ask hundreds of volunteers to be a part of the team?

We believe that God’s called us to impact the next generation of students in their faith!

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

We want to help parents teach their kids about Jesus, so it’s fun to watch students have fun and grow in their faith this week. We also recognize this is an incredible opportunity for other kids (and families) to get to know Jesus for the first time.

I love hearing from parents that their child first came to Summit’s VBS – and that became the catalyst for their whole family to believe in Jesus and be baptized in the following year. You never know how your personal invitation can impact others in their faith!

Sunday June 11th will be a special Celebration Sunday with bounce houses, snow cones, gift bags and more following both services. It’s also the promotion day when all of our Summit Kids and Apex students move up to their next grade level.

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Nate

P.S. I’m excited to kick off a new series this weekend called “Positive People in a Negative World.” See you Sunday!
