We have a fun and kid-friendly Mini Golf Challenge ready to go after both services. Dads don’t have to play golf to be able to create some fun memories with their kids following both of our Sunday services.
I’m also very excited to share my message this weekend called “I’m Encouraging.” Our Heavenly Father made a point of publicly sharing his love and encouraged Jesus at his baptism by saying:
“This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17
For a father to share encouragement is a wonderful gift–and that is true when children do the same for him.
I’ll share some ways that bible teaches that encouragement can make a powerful difference. I pray that the Lord uses it to bless families this weekend and help us catch a vision for ways He will work through us to be an encouraging voice for others.
This week I had a great conversation with a dad who has been growing in his faith. I’m proud of him for the steps of faith he has taken, and it’s a joy to see how Jesus has impacted his life (and family) in the past couple years.
For all of you parents out there… keep fighting the good fight as a spiritual leader for your family! It makes a difference in ways you often can’t see right away.
Keep growing and stay teachable yourself. As God continues to build your faith, look for ways to pass along to your kids what He’s teaching you.
Yours in Christ,
P.S. God’s blessings to those of you on the road. You can catch Summit’s sermons and give online wherever your travels may take you this summer. Thanks for your partnership in ministry!
