5/7/15 – Movie Night in the Park

God has blessed us with a beautiful week of weather, which is perfect for our Movie Night on Friday! Invite your friends, family and neighbors to join us for a fun night under the stars.

A lot of kids this past Sunday heard we were going to show Big Hero 6, and they were excited! If you’ve never been to a movie night before, all you have to do is bring a blanket or some camping chairs to Walton Park.

Pray with me that many families from our community will join us. Summit’s Vacation Bible School team will have some movie snacks and a registration booth there, so it is a good opportunity to get friends signed up for VBS as well.

More Changed Lives

I stood in awe these past couple weeks as I saw all the ways that God is working in and through our church! On Sunday we celebrated 50+ people who were baptized into God’s family or reaffirmed their faith.

My Sunday message was about the Ethiopian in Acts 8 who heard the good news about Jesus and was baptized that very day. It was such a blessing to see several people who were baptized in the same way this weekend!

The Feed My Starving Children event successfully packed 272,160 meals the previous week. Thank you to the 1300 volunteers who served and everyone who gave. Because of the generosity of people like you, we have fully funded the $59,875 cost (at 22 cents per meal).

This afternoon we received notification that the entire shipping container of food is already on the way to help more children in the Philippines. Praise God for more lives changed here and around the world!

As always, thanks for your partnership in ministry.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Nate

P.S. We start a brand-new series on Sunday called CUSH, so I hope you can join us and bring a friend.
