This Sunday is going to be a fun day at Summit as we head into the summer! Our Children’s Ministry team has bounce houses, gift bags for kids and frozen “slushy” drinks for everyone immediately following both services.
It will be a perfect day to invite friends and neighbors with kids!
I hope that you can join us as we celebrate a great Vacation Bible School week and kids moving up to their next grade level. Everyone is welcome whether or not they were able to be a part of VBS.
Our children’s ministry team will be available to answer any questions families may have about their child’s new room or group. Kids going into Kindergarten, 4th grade and 6th grade in the fall will get to “move up” this weekend at Summit.
Please pray with me for the next generation as they grow in their faith! I’ve heard some great conversations this week about the Bible & Jesus as 140 Summit volunteers connect with our VBS students. Thanks to all of you–and many more–who serve in our next generation ministries throughout the year.
Yours in Christ,
P.S. Have you ever been to sporting event when your team scored a touchdown, hit a home run or made another play that got the entire crowd roaring? Last night was even better! We shared the story of Jesus’ death & resurrection–and how God has the power to forgive.
When I asked the students to cheer because Jesus came back to life, their response was deafening. They cheered and yelled with joy… and didn’t stop. I waited for them, and they just got louder. Even when I invited up our student praise team crew the kids kept cheering. It was a moving moment that reminded me of the praise Jesus received when he entered Jerusalem in Luke 19:36-40.
