5/12/17 – Summer Plans

As we near the end of the school year, I hear more and more people talking about their summer schedule. Our team at Summit is excited about some fun plans on the horizon as well!

On Memorial Day weekend, we are pleased to have NASA astronaut Jeff Williams joining us on Sunday, May 28th. He’s a committed Christian who has a very unique perspective about how God has wonderfully created our world and universe (having spent 534 days in space looking down on earth).

He will be preaching at both worship services that morning and then will do a family space talk immediately following the 10:45 service. Mark your calendars and invite some friends to join you this special day!

Our Summit Kids team is also gearing up for a fun and faith-building Vacation Bible School in early June. We’d love to have you register your family and/or friends to be a part of the experience and join us as a volunteer that week!

It will take place in the evening from 6-8:00pm on Monday (June 5) to Thursday (June 8) at Verrado High School. Registration is free, and there is a free prize for the first 200 students to register.

Student and Volunteer Registration

All students who will be in Kindergarten-6th grade next year are invited to participate, so help spread the word to friends in the community. It’s going to be an amazing week, and there are kids who tell us each year it is their favorite week of the summer.

It’s also a great opportunity to volunteer and make an impact with the next generation. If you have younger kids, there is nursery care and preschool programming available for volunteer families that week.

Through all the fun that week, we pray that kids discover that God has created them for a purpose and that He wants them to be a part of His family! Thanks for joining me in praying for Vacation Bible School to be a memorable and impactful week.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Nate

P.S. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Summit moms out there this week!
