This past weekend was Friendship Sunday, and you certainly brought your friends. Thanks for helping to introduce so many new people to Jesus and our church!
We had over 875 join us for worship, which is by far our biggest Sunday morning crowd (outside of Easter). Our teams did a fantastic job throughout the morning and hit a homerun with the lunch event after each service. We are blessed with great servant leaders and volunteers!
If you tried to buy hamburgers at Bashas’ in the afternoon, you were out of luck! We initially planned for 750, so the food team made a run to the grocery store mid-morning and cleaned them out. The pulled pork was amazing, the kids had a blast in the bounce houses and many new connections happened over lunch.
It was a fun day… but here’s the best part. Many guests shared with us that they were pleasantly surprised by their experience. Someone said “I haven’t been to church in a very long time–but that we are going to come back.” Others shared how the message hit home and that they want to make a new start with Jesus in their life or marriage.
Join me in praying for God to bless and grow the faith of everyone who was a part of the weekend!
Pastor Vince’s First Sunday
We are excited that our new Executive Pastor will soon be joining our team! Pastor Vince Parks’ first Sunday at Summit will be March 15, and he will be preaching that morning. I hope you will join us to welcome him. Please continue to pray for his family as they transition from Texas to Arizona.
