One of the most incredible promises of God is that each one of us is created with a purpose.
Just think about that for a minute… Long before this moment in time, God had a plan for your life and desired for you to make a difference in this this world!
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10)
When the Lord is at work in your life, never underestimate what He can accomplish through His power at work within you (Philippians 2:13).
Churches who make a big impact in God’s kingdom have a lot people who believe that is true and put into practice.
I’m thankful that so many people at Summit think that way and look forward to what God has planned for us in the coming weeks!
Our Feed My Starving Children weekend (April 8-9) is a way for both kids (age 5+) and adults to roll up their sleeves and make a real difference. Our goal is 350,000 meals, 1,700 volunteers and $77,000 to fund the food.
This takes a lot of people who personally participate – and also involve other people from our church and community! Can you be one of those catalytic people who get friends and groups to involved?
Some of you could have a group you could recruit to help serve. Some of you have the ability to help get a business donation. There are countless ways the Lord can work through you to make an impact.
Thanks for praying over our church and community in the next few weeks! Keep your eyes open for people you can invite you join us for Easter weekend.
Don’t wait for someone else to be that difference-maker. Allow God to work through you and have the courage to reach out when He give you the chance. It may stretch your faith… but remember that God has placed you in your community, workplace and neighborhood for a reason!
P.S. Friday, March 31 is our Summit Movie Night at Redmond Field in Verrado. Invite a friend, and come out and enjoy “Finding Dory” under the stars.
