3/12/15 – Meet Pastor Vince on Sunday

Vince ParksThis morning I picked up Pastor Vince Parks at the airport and officially welcomed him here to Summit! After navigating the huge crowd of people arriving for spring training baseball games, we headed out to the West Valley.

Our church and I have been praying for the Lord to raise up the right leader to join our ministry team. Jesus has impacted the lives of many people here in our church and community, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for us next!

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Vince preaches his first weekend as a part of our “My Story” series. You’ll hear a bit about his faith journey and how God led him from a business background into ministry.

Many people have shared with me recently, “I’m so glad that you are getting some help.” While it will be fantastic to have another pastor join our team, I am even more excited about the unique role he will play. Check out our Executive Pastor description to learn more about his leadership position and how that will complement my role as Senior Pastor.

The bottom line is this… At Summit we are committed to reaching more people for Jesus and make decisions with the future in mind.

Please pray with me for Pastor Vince (and his family) as we lean into opportunities that God has put in front of our church. “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.” (Colossians 1:9)

See You Sunday,

Pastor Nate

P.S. Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event on April 25 & 26 at Verrado High School. Feel free to invite friends or community groups to be a part of packing 200,000+ meals again this year! It takes 1000+ volunteers and $44,000 to make those meals happen for children in need.
