As we head into the weekend, here are three quick updates to keep you in the loop:

  • Joy of Giving Info
  • Pastor Allen’s Sunday Message
  • Summit’s New Administrative Director

We hope you are having a great Friday – and that will join us this Sunday for church!

Joy of Giving

This Thanksgiving and Christmas season our church will step forward to make a difference for local West Valley families in need.

As we shared last weekend, we’d love your help to bring unwrapped toys, diapers, baby wipes, non-perishable food items and gift cards starting this Sunday, Nov. 18.

We are working with a number of local schools and businesses to help impact even more kids this Christmas season. If you have a group or team that wants to participate, feel free to print and share this Joy of Giving flyer wherever you can!

Sunday’s Message

This Sunday Pastor Allen Rudow will be sharing a message about How to Avoid Burnout.  It’s an important topic throughout the year – and especially timely during this busy season.

Pastor Allen brings a wise perspective from years of ministry across the country, and we are blessed to have him as a member of our church.  Come learn from God’s Word about some important ways to beat burnout in your life!

Administrative Director

After our search and interview process this fall, I am pleased to announce that MaryLou Rogers has accepted Summit’s Administrative Director position

Her business background is in commercial property management. As we get ready to launch the new I-10 campus, MaryLou will bring some helpful experience in facility management, tenant improvements, building operations, service contracts, etc.

To learn more about her role on Summit’s team, here is the position description we shared earlier this fall.MaryLou and her husband Larry McNamara have been attending Summit since 2014. She has been serving with our Summit Student and Growth Group ministries–but has also been a part of our community impact and greeter teams along the way.

It will be an exciting year as Summit breaks ground, and that will bring a lot of new work and priorities for this position. I’m thankful for the way the Lord is building our team for what’s next in ministry!

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Nate
