This past year I asked 12 Summit leaders to be a part of a group called our Vision Frame Team.

With significant God-given ministries opportunities befor our church, we took some extended time to pray and seek His guidance about the future. The team did some incredible work!

While we shared their progress at a couple gatherings this spring–today I want to focus on some great questions developed by the team to encourage ongoing spiritual growth.

1.  Did I seek God first today?

2.  Do I intentionally spend time with people who are far from God?

3.  Have I taken a risk for Jesus lately?

4.  Is my life being changed by God’s Word?

5.  Do I have a generous wallet and calendar?

They are framed in this way so to help an individual ask where God is calling him or her to keep growing in faith.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”  Colossians 2:6-7

God’s Word reminds us that our spiritual life is a journey.  Until we meet God face-to-face, we are called to keep growing to be more and more like Jesus.

Our team’s hope is that these questions will be helpful for many people (including us). They also are good “Mission Measures” for our church–a way to measure if we fulfilling our mission and seeing lives changed by Christ over time.

My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will use these questions in our church in a powerful way!

My challenge to you is to start asking yourself these questions in a regular way. If you do–I believe that God will help you experience some significant breakthroughs in your faith life.

And just imagine if our entire church asked ourselves these questions every week for a year… Lives would change, faith would grow, families would be transformed and we would see a mighty movement of God in the West Valley.

You are in my prayers!

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Nate

P.S.  November 4th is an International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.  Check out this video from Voice of the Martyrs and pray this weekend for our brothers and sisters who face great challenges as they follow Jesus.
