Come join us and invite some friends to Summit’s Movie Night later today!
It’s going to be a beautiful evening under the stars (with temps in the 70’s) – and it’s a free event for everyone in the community.
Let people know that all they need to bring is a blanket or chair. Dinner and the movie are provided; other snacks and drinks are available for a donation (to support our next Mexico Mission team).
It will be in Redmond Park near the corner of Verrado Way and Thomas Road (click here for location).
So why does Summit host events like this? The bottom line is this: our church loves our community. It’s fun to see the connections that happen when West Valley friends and neighbors come together!
Jesus made it a habit to connect with people beyond the weekly time they gathered for worship. We believe God has called us to reach beyond our walls and proactively look for ways to engage our community as well.
A couple months ago I talked with a single mom who came to our spring movie and brought her kids. They were fairly new the area and were looking for something fun (and free) to do that night. After meeting some people from Summit, she decided to bring the kids to worship.
God opened a door she didn’t expect. They connected with Jesus and with our church at an important time for their family!
So help spread the word, invite some people you know and pray that the Lord helps some new friendships/connections happen tonight as well.
Yours in Christ,
