10/27/16 – I’m So Encouraged!

I’m so thankful for our church and the ways that the Lord is changing lives! Here are just a few examples…

BAPTISMS – A bunch of adults and kids are getting baptized this coming Sunday. I love seeing people united with Christ in baptism and connected into God’s family. (Galatians 3:26-28)

GROWING FAITH – A retiree approached me after worship on Sunday and thanked us for this new series called Powerful Prayers. He said that before he came to Summit (a few years ago) that “nobody had ever taught me how to pray.” It’s fun to see the way he’s already grown as a follower of Jesus and is excited to keep learning.

CAMPAIGN MOMENTUM – We hosted a capital campaign information lunch on Sunday after church and had to bring in extra chairs! Not only was it well attended, a tremendous number of people also offered to volunteer to help in the coming months. It is exciting to see people ready to help our church build, expand ministry and reach more people for Jesus.

With that in mind, come celebrate with us this Sunday how more individuals and families are made new in Jesus through baptism! The Baptism Bash will take place between the two services, so let’s cheer for them on this life-changing day.

It’s also not too late to participate (if you or any kids haven’t been baptized). You can register here or contact niki@summitcc.org with any questions.

Summit Fall Fest

summitfall-festival-1280x720Finally, mark your calendars on November 13th and invite some friends to join you for a special Fall Fest Sunday!

Following both services, there will be a petting zoo for kids, fun activities and some community food trucks on site if you want to buy a snack or some lunch. It’s going to be a great morning!

There will also be an inspirational and entertaining message about trust by a special guest speaker. Trust me… your friends will thank you for the chance to hear him that morning!

We want to encourage you that day and believe it will make an impact in the lives of many people & families.

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Nate

P.S. This Sunday our Powerful Prayers series continues with a message on how God works through persistent prayers.
