Come join us for a fun morning this Sunday!

We’re going to celebrate the start of summer with a fantastic day planned by our Summit Kids tea

There will be bounce houses, games, gift bags for kids, and snow cones for everyone following each service (in the big gym).

It’s a perfect day to invite some friends and neighbors with kids.

Yesterday was our final Vacation Bible School night with almost 500 kids registered this year! I’m proud of all our 200+ volunteers for making this a special experience for so many kids from our church and community.

This Sunday is also the time that kids and students are promoted to their next grade level. It’s a special day! And everyone is invited to be a part of this celebration whether or not they were at VBS this week.

The Summit Kids team will be available to answer any questions families have about their child’s new room or ministry environment. Students going into Kindergarten, 4th grade, 6th grade and 9th grade all get to “move up” this weekend at Summit.

Thinking about this past week, it fills me with joy that so many kids were excited to learn about Jesus!  They cheered, sang and had fun discovering different ways that God works in our lives.

One of our key verses was, “The Lord comes to the rescue each time.” (Psalm 34:19)

That is so true! Each night we focused on a different way that Jesus rescues. It’s fun to watch “the light bulb go off” as kids take that message to heart.

Pray with me that truth connects deeply with kids and families in the days to come.

It is a blessing to be a part of a church that is reaching the next generation for Christ.  Thank you for serving, giving and being a part of what the Lord is doing through our church!

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Nate

P.S. Guatemala is one of the countries where Summit has sent mission teams, and the country has experienced a devastating volcano eruption. If you’d like to learn more and make a gift to the relief work, click here.
