You can make a difference in the lives of hungry kids!
Our church and community is working together to fund and pack 272,000 meals for kids in orphanages, disaster areas and communities dealing with severe poverty. Your generosity with your money and time will help turn hunger into hope!
Help by Packing Meals
We’d love for you to help pack meals on April 6-7 and bring some friends with you.
It’s a great place for children (age 5+) to be able to get involved and be a part of the experience with their families. Every year we hear stories about how excited kids were to serve and help other kids in need.
Millennials are also an exceptionally cause-oriented generation. What a perfect time to invite some you know to participate as our church and community work together to make an incredible impact in the world!
Come join us at one of the packing shifts:
SUNDAY: 1:00-3:00pm or 3:30-5:30pm
Here’s the link to register online to pack meals. Spots continue to open up from time to time, but many shifts are showing they are full. Because we do get some last minute cancellations, plan to join us (even if a spot isn’t available right now online).
You can also help with teardown. There is a special shift you can register for from 5:30-7:30pm on Sunday.
Help Fund the Meals
It takes a lot of people and groups to fund the $60,000 cost for the 272,000 meals we are packing. However you can help will make a difference! For instance, one box of food costs $50, or you can feed a child for a year for $80.

This weekend there will also be a big silent auction (to help fund meals) as part of the Founders Day festivities in Verrado.
Our FMSC team will also be at the community picnic in Founders Park (click here for location) from 11:00am to 2:00pm this Sunday, March 31. They have a ton of great gift baskets and other items that people can bid on, with all proceeds going to fun meals at our event.
Anyone from the community is welcome to participate! Feel free to head over after church (or encourage people you know to participate in the auction). If you need more information, contact Peter O’Grady.
It fills my heart with joy to see our church and community working to make a life-changing impact! It’s also a key way for us to live out God’s call to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly:
“He has told you O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8 (ESV)
Join me in praying for this important ministry work–and for those who will ultimately receive the meals.
