Last Sunday it was a joy to see people bring food, pack meals and work together to help students in the Buckeye Elementary school district!

For some students, the primary meals they get during the week are their school lunches.  That means they often come to school hungry after a weekend–and that is certainly the case after a full spring break away from school.

The good news is that Snack Packs are going home today with kids who need the help most right before spring break!

Because of your generosity, we are not only able to help care for students over spring break…  We were able to provide hundreds of additional Weekend Snack Packs so that school counselors can help in the coming months.

“Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kinds to the needy honors God.” Proverbs 14:31

Thanks for responding in a way that honors God and cares for the vulnerable in our community! The Red Letter Challenge has moved many people to daily put their faith into practice, and I pray that we continue to boldly live for Jesus in the days to come.

When we delivered supplies to the school counselor at Bales Elementary on Sunday afternoon, he was very moved. Gale has a huge heart for his students!

He was blown away as the vehicles were unloaded–and then proceeded to share what a difference this will make. The team prayed over Gale, his leadership and the students of their school. Thanks for praying today over the students of that school and others around the West Valley.

On April 6-7 we will also gather together at Verrado High School with our community to pack 272,000 meals for kids around the world. Registration is now open, and those spots fill up quickly.

You can click here to give now or register to pack.

It’s an incredible weekend, and you are welcome to bring a team or group from the community to be a part of it.

Thanks for all the ways you are turning hunger into hope!

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Nate
