I love watching people work together with unity and purpose!
I got to see that in action a week ago when 60 people traveled from Summit to build two homes in Mexico. I took my two younger kids along with me, and it was a joy to see lives changed and houses built over a 4-day weekend.
About a month before the trip, the mission organization asked us to step up and build one of the homes twice the size. Our team leaders embraced the challenge!
Summit’s leaders did a fantastic job. They modeled what it took to successfully build and partner with the local community. They helped everyone (adults and youth) be a part of the experience, and everyone pulled together to make it a successful weekend.

God is giving us incredible opportunities to reach more people for Jesus in the West Valley and around the world.
That is why I want to invite those who call Summit their church home to be a part of a special vision gathering this Sunday afternoon.
We have “poured some concrete” in that process, but this is a chance for you to participate and provide some input before it sets!
I’m excited about the work this Vision Team has done! It’s been a prayerful process and they’ve been a dedicated, creative and Spirit-led team.
Here are the details if you’d like to be a part of this dynamic and collaborative process to sharpen our vision:
The Bible reminds us: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)
My prayer is that this vision work will make it easier for people to “catch” what God is doing through our church-and make it easier for us to share the vision with others.
It’s exciting to see the opportunities the Lord is laying before our church! I’m glad that you are a part of the journey and appreciate your prayers for Summit’s ministry today and in the years to come.
Yours in Christ,
