Over time many people have asked me what it takes to grow in their faith. If they were going to be intentional about that in the coming year, what would I suggest?

My answer is to spend time in God’s Word, connect with other Christians and ask how the Lord wants you to put your
faith into practice!  As Psalm 119 says:

“Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found.” (vs. 34-35)

It’s why I’m such a big believer in Growth Groups here at Summit!

Registration is now open, and I want to encourage you to join one now or this Sunday at church.

Groups will begin the week of February 4th in homes all around the West Valley. It’s a great way to meet some new people and be intentional about growing in your faith.

On Super Bowl Sunday (Feb 4) I’m excited to kick off a church-wide series called Be the Message.

It’s about taking our faith beyond words to a life of action. Jesus actively works in our lives–and it’s His plan for us to Be the Message to others as well.

This 5-week, church-wide journey will encourage us (adults, students and kids) to show God’s love to others in tangible ways.

Our adult groups will do the same study from the first week in February to the first week in March. In the following weeks, each group will focus on their own unique topic.

I can’t wait to see what God will do in our church and community. Join a group today–and invite some friends to be a part of it with you!

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Nate
