What do you hope this New Year will bring?
It’s a great question, and this is a season of year when many people want to make changes or a fresh start.
Your direction in life and the decisions you make willpowerfully shape your future.
It’s why this Sunday we kick off a new series calledDivine Direction. God promises wisdom for all those who seek it–and He wants to help direct your life in a positive way in this coming year.
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8 (NLT)
Finding divine direction makes all the difference! When you know who to trust–and how to approach decisions you make–you’ll find wisdom and insight when you need it most.
My prayer is that this 3-week series will help you build a strong foundation for seeking and knowing God’s will in your life. Join us this Sunday, invite a friend and make 2018 a great new year!
Making an Impact
At our Christmas worship services, many people gave to help provide meals in the West Valley to widows and other seniors in need.
I want to thank you for your generosity, because we were able to provide a $2,500 check to Meals of Joy
right after Christmas.
The founder of that startup organization, Larry Cervarich, was overjoyed and deeply appreciated the gift. With Summit’s support, their organization will be expanding the number of meals they deliver starting in February!
This past Sunday, we also had the opportunity to hear a powerful message about persecuted Christians around the world. Their courage as they follow Christ is inspiring!
I encourage you remember those brothers & sisters in Christ, praying for God to guide and provide. Sunday we also gave a $2,500 gift to Voice of the Martyrs as they stand on the front lines with those facing strong persecution.
Your support of Summit’s Mission & Ministry is making a difference in our church, community and world. We deeply appreciate your partnership in ministry!
With God leading the way, 2018 is going to be an incredible year. I can’t wait to see all that He has in store as we we trust and follow Jesus.
See You Sunday,
